10DLC compliance

10DLC website language examples

Paste this wording into the customer's website to clear the findings from a 10DLC compliance check. Replace every bracketed value with the customer's real details, and keep the sentences that say "paste verbatim" word-for-word — carriers text-match them during brand and campaign vetting.

Opt-in form & consent language
Carriers require a visible call-to-action showing exactly how the consumer agreed to receive texts. This form is the screenshot reviewers ask for during campaign vetting.

Where it goes: On the contact / request-service page, with an unchecked checkbox next to the disclosure text.

Checkbox disclosure (recommended)

I agree to receive text messages from [Business Name] at the phone number provided above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions.

Short form (under a phone field)

By providing your mobile number you agree to receive service and appointment text messages from [Business Name]. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, HELP for help.

Verbal / in-person consent record

Customers may also opt in verbally when they call or when a technician is on site. We record the date, time and the phone number provided, and we send a confirmation text: "[Business Name]: you are now subscribed to service updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
Privacy policy — mobile information clause
The privacy policy must be linked from every page and must state that mobile numbers collected for SMS are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Missing this sentence is the single most common 10DLC rejection reason.

Where it goes: A page at /privacy titled "Privacy Policy", linked in the site footer.

Mobile information clause (paste verbatim — carriers text-match it)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information are subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, including information sharing with subcontractors who provide services on our behalf, such as customer service and messaging delivery. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS section of the privacy policy

[Business Name] collects your name, phone number and service details when you contact us or request service. If you opt in to text messaging, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you consented to receive (appointment confirmations, technician updates and replies to your questions). We do not sell your information. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may request deletion of your information by emailing [support@yourdomain.com].
SMS terms & conditions
Carriers require published messaging terms describing the program, message types, frequency, cost disclosure, opt-out and support contact — and they must match the campaign you register.

Where it goes: A page at /sms-terms (or a "SMS Terms" section inside your Terms of Service), linked in the footer.
